Yes, we’re still a month away from the deadline to submit your entries in the 2018 KPA News and KPA Advertising contests. At 4:59 p.m. Eastern time on Friday, October 19, the online entry system will shutdown. So you’re sitting there thinking, “Oh, it’s a month from now. I’ve got all kinds of times.”
Well, really you don’t. It’s not an easy process to go through all the issues since October 1, 2017, and find what you want to enter. That could take the whole month.
But before you do anything, get registered!! I keep telling you it’s a simple process and it is. Maybe it’ll take 90 seconds but don’t spin your wheels going through all those issues without registering. You can’t get into the system without doing that.
We’re at 38 newspapers who have heeded the alert and gotten registered. So add to that number today. Go to http://www.newspapercontest.com/Contests/KentuckyPressAssociation.aspx, fill out the seven areas, hit SUBMIT then start going through all the issues since last October 1.
I’ll even give you the answer to the last info block. It asks for the Association Code. Type in KYCONTEST (case sensitive, too!).
