Last week, we made available to all KPA members three columns and four pictures of war journalist Ernie Pyle. The offer came from the Ernie Pyle Museum in Indiana with the columns and pictures available for your use at no cost.
This week, there’s another offer but it’s as much a request for help from Kentucky newspapers. The Honor Flight Bluegrass organization wants to reach out to the more than 5,800 Kentucky survivors of World War II, inviting those veterans to a celebration in Louisville June 3 – 7 commemorating the D-Day invasion and to thank those veterans for their service.
Honor Flight Bluegrass has prepared a media packet that details the celebration schedule along with a Fact Sheet about the June 6, 1944, invasion.
The Media Packet is attached here: HF Operation Bravo Zulu Media Packet-FINAL 5-9-19
