There’s room at the inn but you’ll pay big bucks

Since early December, we’ve given you the direct link to making online room reservations for KPA’s 150th Anniversary Convention. And we’ve regularly reminded you that after January 8, the hotel will release our block of rooms to the general public and will increase the room rate.

Both happened this week when the hotel reservation deadline passed. And word came Thursday that while rooms are still available, the hotel is charging its normal rate of $161 to $186 per night. That’s far above KPA’s $112 room rate per night that was available through January 8.

So if you need rooms and haven’t made them, good luck. And if the rate is too high, there are several hotels/motels in the Blankenbaker Lane/I-64 area of Louisville. Those are just a couple of miles from the Marriott East.
