Update on newspaper employees in politics

Overlooked a couple of KPA members who ran for or are in office. That goes back about three weeks, following up on the general election and noting some KPA member folks who ran for political office.

Mark Hoskins, editor of the Manchester Enterprise and a member of the KPA Board of Directors, has been serving on the Clay County Board of Education and in fact is chairman of the Board.

Jimmy Brannon

Jimmy Brannon, whose family owns the Bourbon County Citizen and the Citizen Advertiser, the oldest newspaper west of the Alleghenies, ran for circuit judge in the November 6 race. That’s the 14th Circuit and includes Bourbon, Scott and Woodford counties. Jimmy finished fourth in the race. Jimmy is the editor of the Bourbon County Citizen.
