With pensions being a huge issue in the state, how about an expenses-paid training program in DC?

Invitation to Kentucky newspapers from the National Press Foundation

We know pensions are an issue in Kentucky. We’re writing to ask you to alert your member newsrooms about an upcoming reporter training opportunity. The National Press Foundation is conducting a four-day expenses-paid training program for journalists on all aspects of public and private pensions. Participants will learn about the state of public and private pensions; pension investment and transparency; workforce and retirement issues; pension modernization and reforms; pension management and debt; and the impact of pension issues on retirees.

The training will be held Dec. 2-5 in Washington, D.C.

Deadline to apply is Oct. 8.

The all-expenses-paid fellowship covers airfare, ground transportation, hotel costs and most meals. NPF offers this professional development opportunity for journalists to enhance skills, increase knowledge and recharge their reporting on one of today’s most critical issues.
