Benjy Hamm has been hired by Campbellsville University as an assistant professor of mass communication.
Hamm was editorial page editor for The Virginian-Pilot and left that job after the paper was sold. He perhaps is best known in Kentucky as a former editorial director for Landmark Community Newspapers.
“Benjy has a tremendous background in journalism,” said Stan McKinney, associate professor of journalism and lead professor for mass communication at Campbellsville University. “The experiences that he will bring to the classroom can’t be measured. I know all of our students will greatly benefit with him as a member of our faculty.”
Hamm will teach reporting, social media and a variety of other classes.
