Carrie Dillard, editor of the Paducah Sun, has submitted her resignation as 2020 KPA treasurer and as a State At-Large Board member. Carrie, who also served 2018 and 2019 as an At-Large member, had been elected treasurer of the association during the Board’s Fall Retreat in October. Her workload will keep her from the time commitment required to serve in both capacities.
Carrie began her career in 2006 as editor of the Union County Advocate, a position she held through the end of 2010. She then became editor of the London Sentinel Echo and has been with the Paducah Sun the last five years. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts, English, cum laude, University of Southern Indiana. She was won several awards in KPA contests over the years.
The resignation takes effect at the end of the 2020 KPA Convention. The Board plans to elect a new treasurer for 2020 at the January 23 Board meeting.
