The Courier Journal is kicking off activities to celebrate its 150th anniversary on Courier Journal Day at the Kentucky State Fair Friday, Aug. 17.
We’ll be revealing some of our celebration plans at our booth located inside the South Wing Lobby of the Kentucky Exposition Center, 937 Phillips Lane, including a first look at our traveling photo exhibit that will be making the rounds at several events this fall, winter and next spring.
Visitors who stop by our booth can enter to win two tickets to Bourbon & Beyond starring Sting, John Mayer, Sheryl Crow and Lenny Kravitz. The Courier Journal is a sponsor of the two-day concert event at Champions Park Sept. 22 & 23. You can also pick up a commemorative Courier Journal 150th anniversary reusable tote bag and other giveaways while supplies last.
If you’re not a subscriber, we’ll have special Kentucky State Fair and 150th anniversary discount offers.
We’ll also give you an early look at the first book in our upcoming picture book series, “Picture: Muhammad Ali” and share information on how you can save 20 percent when you pre-order by Oct. 1.
Courier Journal Day is also your chance to visit with our journalists, who will be appearing in our booth to answer your questions and share stories with you. We hope to see you at Courier Journal Day at the Kentucky State Fair.
