Election-related advertising through KPS hits $1.137 million!

With Tuesday’s general election, related advertising placed through the Kentucky Press Service for newspaper placement has ended. And it does so with a record placement. Placements began in May in preparation for the June primary and picked up pace in September as the November 3 election neared.

Candidates and issue/advocacy advertising total $1,137,210.44.  That was led by nearly $600,000 placed by the Amy McGrath for U.S. Senate candidacy. And the State Board of Elections, encouraging Kentuckians to vote with absentee ballots or through early voting in each county, spent $390,999.95.
