FCC, FTC, BBB offering joint webinar today on holiday safety; info could benefit your readers


On Friday, November 20 at 2 p.m. Eastern/1 p.m. Central, the Federal Communications Commission will be joined by the Federal Trade Commission and Better Business Bureau for a webinar titled “ALL I WANT FOR THE HOLIDAYS IS YOUR SAFETY.”

The webinar will provide tips and resources to protect consumers this upcoming holiday season. Topics will include online shopping, avoiding charity scams, protecting mobile devices and public Wi-Fi safety tips. The webinar will be streamed live at www.fcc.gov/live.  No registration is required to attend.

Prior to and during the webinar questions can be emailed to outreach@fcc.gov. Open captioning will be provided for this event.
