Glasgow Daily Times converts from print to digital only

From Bill Hanson, CNHI

Published Tuesday, June 9

The coronavirus pandemic has burdened businesses with steep losses in revenue. The Glasgow Daily Times is no exception. It has forced us to make difficult decisions in the way we distribute news to Barren County.

Today’s print edition will be the last produced and sent to subscribers’ homes as well as newsstands.

Effective immediately, we will distribute Barren County news on the Glasgow Daily Times website,

Those subscribers who have not yet activated their Daily Times digital website access, can do so by calling 812-206-2109 and we will help set you up. You can also activate the app for receiving news on your mobile phone.

The conversion from print to digital only for the Daily Times is necessary due to major losses of advertising revenue during the COVID-19 emergency on top of burdensome print delivery costs, newsprint and ink expenses, and the production outlay required to run the presses.

We urge Daily Times subscribers to continue to support the newspaper online.
