We’ve shared the QR Code with newspapers to give immediate access to the kypublicnotice.com website and have borrowed this promotion from The Lake News in Calvert City.
The website was the project of Jamie Sizemore when she was KPA President and it’s been in operation since 2012. Public notices published in Kentucky newspapers are scraped and then uploaded to the site each day. There, residents can read notices from around the state and that can help negate the need for the legislature to enact more legislation in 2021 to put these on government websites.
Where would you rather go? To one site, where all of the notices are located, or to individual websites for each public agency in your county. Count how many websites that would involve and then give you residents this promotion to increase traffic and support for notices remaining in newspapers.
Try it with your QR Code read on your cell phone. That’s all it takes.
