It’s ‘time’ for a reminder for your readers: set the clocks back Sunday, November 7

Last week, it was an item for all you in the 859 area code that beginning Sunday, October 24 (this past Sunday), local calls required a 10-digit dialing, beginning with 859 and then the seven-digit number.

Now comes a reminder for all of you to pass on to your readers, regardless of what area code you’re in.

Come 2 a.m. Sunday, November 7, Daylight Savings Time ends in the Bluegrass and your readers have to set their clocks back on hour. That should give all Kentuckians an extra hour’s sleep that night.

But fear not! You’ll give the one hour back March 13 when we set the clocks forward an hour and Daylight Savings Time returns.

So why am I giving you a week’s notice? First, so you can notify your readers in an issue this coming week. Secondly, there won’t be an On Second Thought on Friday, November 5. The KPA Board Fall Retreat takes place November 4 and 5 at Barren River State Park.

So Spring up, Fall back!
