Last week, I included a link to send a letter to the International Trade Commission chair opposing the proposed tariff on newsprint. The News Media Alliance was hoping for 10,000 signature to show wide support for doing away with the tariff. And as of last Thursday morning, NMA was about 1,000 signatures short.
Have no fear! The industry and the supporting public came through. By midweek, NMA reported well more than 11,000 signatures had been attained.
And who was leading the way?
KENTUCKY NEWSPAPERS with nearly 1,300 signatures. Florida was second with just under 1,100 and North Carolina had 604.
There’s still time to register more signatures. And again, you don’t have to worry about writing the letter, it’s all set to go. Just fill out the form and hit Submit and it’s only its way to ITC.
Everything is written so you don’t have to write a letter or worry about the proper verbiage.
Have others within the office fill out a form as well and submit it to the International Trade Commission. Time is running short.

NMA, KPA and all of the groups opposing the newsprint tariffs say THANK YOU, KENTUCKY NEWSPAPERS for the strong support.
