KPA holds Public Notice Ad Summit virtually to set the tone for 2021 General Assembly


 

Some 65 Kentucky Press Association representatives, mostly publishers or officials from corporate newspaper offices. held an 80-minute Zoom meeting Thursday morning. The focus was Public Notices and discussion on that issue as the 2021 Kentucky General Assembly approaches.

In all, those gathering covered some 75 of Kentucky’s 120 counties.

The session included an update on the 2020 session and development of House Bills 195 and 351 and then a preview into the 2021 session that will be gaveled in January 5 for the four-day organizational session before returning in February to complete the 30-day session.

The group decided to set up a committee of some of the executives that will identify approaches and needs and then set up small sub-committees to carry out assignments.

More will be forthcoming in the next few weeks as the group takes focus on KPA’s emphases on the 2021 session.
