On Tuesday, the Local Media Association, Local Media Consortium and Google announced a marketing campaign designed to educate the public on the importance of supporting local news.
Over the last month, the Local Media Association and Local Media Consortium worked with Google on the messaging of the campaign and the creation of a website – Google also invested $15 million in a paid ad campaign with thousands of news outlets in the U.S. and Canada. LMA CEO Nancy Lane offers 10 things to know about this remarkable initiative.
