Meet Jane Ashley Pace: KPA Vice President candidate for 2022

Jane Ashley Pace graduated from the University of Kentucky with a major in integrated strategic communications and minor in political science. Upon graduation, she started working in Frankfort as an assistant director at the Ky Oil & Gas Association where she recruited members, served as editor and sales representative of the industry newsletter and lobbied during legislative sessions.

Jane Ashley left the association to begin a newspaper career as an advertising representative with the Grant County News before being promoted to sales manager for the Anderson News.

Following her time in Williamstown and Lawrenceburg with Landmark Community Newspapers, she was hired at the Lexington Herald-Leader where she held a variety of positions over nearly a decade with the Lexington Herald-Leader including targeted publications coordinator and marketing, sales, training and research Manager.

In 2017, she returned to Landmark Community Newspapers as the publisher of The Oldham Era and Henry County Local. Jane Ashley continues in the role today as publisher of The Oldham Era in LaGrange.

Jane Ashley hails from Campbellsville, Ky. and has served as a member of the Kentucky Press Association Board of Directors as an at-large member and representing District 6 as its elected Board representative since 2018.
