I’ve written a few times about The Relevance Project, a fairly new initiative of the Newspaper Association Managers. That is the group of state, regional and national/provincial press associations across the U.S. and Canada.
What I may not have always pushed is that the Relevance Project was actually created to help you — the members of those press associations.
And here’s an invitation to check it out. See what’s there that can help your newspaper(s) and your advertisers with some mockup ads you should use to pique business interests in advertising through your newspaper.
The initial focus was on revenue, especially the business shutdowns during the pandemic. This spring, a “Support Local Journalism” section was added.
Your Kentucky Press Association membership allows you to have access to the FREE resources from The Relevance Project.
Tom Silvestri, former president and publisher of the Richmond (Va.) Times-Dispatch, was named executive director of the Relevance Project in May, 2020. The Relevance Project is a joint effort of newspaper trade groups to strengthen the industry’s unique role as the provider of quality journalism and the keeper of public forums for thousands of communities across the continent.
The project includes free ads and other tools to show your clients that newspaper advertising works and we have the data to prove it!
