Kentucky National Guard Memorial honoring fallen during Memorial Day Event: Fourteen names being added to Memorial. The Kentucky National Guard Memorial will host its annual Memorial Day observance on Monday, May 28, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Memorial located at the entrance to Boone National Guard Center, 100 Minuteman Parkway, in Frankfort, Kentucky. Families of any of the fallen honored on the Memorial are encouraged to attend and be recognized at the event. The event is free and open to the public.
And along that line, there’s a story elsewhere in this week’s On Second Thought about KU/LG&E receiving an award from the Kentucky Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve and then a sidebar to that about ESGR needing a volunteer in the western part of the state to help with public relations. I repeat that here just to make sure you’ve seen it.
ESGR in need of public relations volunteer in western part of the Commonwealth
If you’re interested in public relations, in volunteering and in the Kentucky Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, then here’s your chance.
ESGR is looking for someone in the western part of the Kentucky to help with public relations on a volunteer basis. It’s an ideal situation for a retired person or someone who works part-time and likes to volunteer for worthwhile missions.
