New Public Notice website launched; ensure you’re uploading each edition so notices can be scraped

Just a reminder that the new KPA Public Notice website has been launched and member newspapers are reminded to make sure all issues of the newspaper are being uploaded to NewzGroup. The company will then scrape all public notices from the newspapers and will post them on the website.

It was officially launched in 2011 and was a project of KPA Past President Jamie Sizemore. This is the first redesign since the website started.

KPA newspapers should also be promoting the website every issue to inform the public and legislators of this service, provided by the newspaper and KPA. There is no charge to access the website. The public and legislators can search by county or by newspaper and by key word to find public notices that have been published.

Any newspaper needing a copy of the Upload Instructions and the uploading protocol to send each issue of the paper should contact David T. Thompson at or Amy Fritz ( or Ian Buchanan ( at NewzGroup.

Do not upload individual or separate ads. Upload entire issues, minus inserts, and NewzGroup will scrape each issue for the appropriate ads.
