NNA Summit offers chance to fight back on increased newsprint costs

The impact on printing costs is already being felt from the new duties on Canadian newsprint, which are being collected at the border NOW.

Printers are hearing from paper producers that newsprint prices WILL go up because of the duties. But this is just the first round.

In early March, another new tariff could be announced, and by the end of the year, the Commerce Department could be collecting tariffs for up to 50 percent of the paper price. A crippling effect on the newspaper business. The time to fight back is short. JOIN NNA publishers and the community newspaper industry on March 15 and take our case to Capitol Hill. Congress can help. Let’s make sure your Members of Congress know how.

Deadline for the early bird registration and NNA’s hotel block rate is Feb. 19, 2018.
