Several respond to last week’s plea to register for the contest; let’s double it by next week

The ink had barely dried on last week’s On Second Thought when more registrations came in for the 2023 KPA News and Advertising contests. When On Second Thought was put to bed last Friday, only four newspapers had registered. But within minutes of the plea in that edition, we added seven more to the list.

So now we’re up to 11 newspapers registered but I have to wonder, “Where are the daily newspapers?” None have registered as of this morning though as an online newspaper, Kentucky Forward will compete as a Daily 1.

Joining last week’s four registrations — The Bridge at Somerset Community College; Lebanon Enterprise; Ohio County Times News; and Corbin News Journal — we:

Oldham Era

Henry County Local

Greenup Gazette

Falmouth Outlook

Carter County Times

Forward Kentucky

Georgetown News-Graphic

Ask any of them and it really only takes a minute to complete this task. And you have to do that to have access to any part of the contest materials. In other words, you can’t enter if you don’t register.

Just go to 2023 KPA CONTESTS and on the upper left row, click on REGISTER. And while you’re on the first screen, please read STEP 1. That answers the most oft-heard question, “What is my Association Code?”

Let’s double this week’s 11 newspapers by next week. Thanx in advance for that
