Wednesday, we sent an email to everyone on our list serves, announcing the pre-publication sales of John Nelson’s “Still, We Speak,” looking at the first 150 years of the Kentucky Press Association. The cost until January 14 is $28 and that includes the state sales tax and shipping. After January 14, the 114-page book will be $29.95 plus tax. And if you pre-order and bring your copy to the 2019 KPA Anniversary Convention, John would be delighted to autograph it for you.
We are also trying to get one copy in each local public library but because of budget cuts across state government, the Department of Libraries and Archives will not have the funds to purchase a copy for each library. So think about ordering one copy for your county public library and feel free to put a label inside that the book is made available as a gift from your newspaper.
There’s a story on John in this week’s On Second Thought by Bobbie Curd and reprinted from the Advocate-Messenger in Danville, the paper John was managing editor for.
To order your copy at the discounted price of $28, go to www.kypress.com/stillwespeak and fill out the form. The special price is available until January 14.
