SAVE THE DATE:
March 30 in Frankfort for a Reporting Workshop on Covering Health and Elections.
Health is the biggest continuing problem in Kentucky, and the May 22 primary elections are the biggest immediate topic facing the state’s newspapers.
The Institute for Rural Journalism and Community Issues will spend 200 minutes on each subject and give you the tools you need to help your readers make informed decisions when they vote, and how to live healthier lives and understand the health-care system and the opioid crisis.
Details will be coming soon, but advance signups, questions and suggestions are welcome, to Al.Cross@uky.edu.
